SNC-Lavalin Nuclear has extensive experience managing projects of any size, type or complexity. All projects include the use of structured project management techniques and methodologies such as:

1. Production of detailed work scope outline and implementation plan including work breakdown structure
2. Production of new estimates and confirmation of existing estimates
3. Monitoring of costs against established budgets
4. Preparation of detailed schedules and monitoring of schedule performance
5. Use of earned value systems for assessment of cost and schedule achievement
6. Forecasting of cost and schedule trends
7. Project accounting including expenditures and commitments
8. Monitoring of material deliveries and expediting where necessary
9. Production of actual and forecasted cash flows
10. Document control, including records of documents and revisions thereof issued and received

SNC-Lavalin Nuclear uses the latest in modern project management software and the degree of use is determined by the size and complexity of projects. Examples of software include the PM+ program (a complete integrated Windows based project management system) and scheduling tools such as Primavera Project Planner and Microsoft Project.
