The nuclear industry is one of the most demanding and heavily regulated industries in the world. For over 40 years, SNC-Lavalin Nuclear has continually led the industry in meeting national and international nuclear quality assurance requirements. Our comprehensive quality assurance program is applied to all work associated with a nuclear facility including project management, conceptual design, detailed design, construction, commissioning, operations and decommissioning, with an emphasis on meeting all regulatory requirements including environmental, health and safety. We have actively participated in the development of quality assurance standards for the Canadian Nuclear Industry over the last 40 years. Working in close collaboration with the Canadian Standards Association and the Canadian Nuclear Association, our employees are involved in the development and revision of national nuclear standards. An important aspect of this work involves continuous monitoring of the quality assurance standards related to the nuclear industry in other countries. Our quality assurance program is designed to comply with the following national and international quality assurance requirements:
· ISO 9001:2000
· CSA N285.0:1995
· CSA N286 series of standards
· ASME NQA-1:1997
· 10CFR50 Appendix B
· BS 5882:1996
· IAEA 50-C/SG-QA(Q1-Q14):1996
SNC-Lavalin Nuclear also provides quality management services such as:
· Quality Assurance (QA) program development and implementation
· Project QA management and support
· QA audits and program reviews
